Description


Below a dreary, cold mountain is a hidden world of far reaching birch trees, mushrooms that rival them, and shafts of crystals larger than even Balros. This cavern is lit by these massive clusters of cream quartz, whose glow seems to intensify and recede with a cadence much like the cycle of night and day. The large fungi "trees" shed spores that glow so brightly one may mistake them as will-o-wisps floating carefree across the lush shelves of vegetation. Natural bridges of root, stone, and vine cross the cavern to provide ample passage deeper and deeper below, where a river snakes through the ravine's floor. The entrance is a great vantage over the whole of the ravine, albeit dangerous in its shallowness. Careful not to come careening in, or you may suffer an untimely fall!

Hidden in sweeping vines and lush bushes are small, cream flowers not unlike a cross between lily and peony. These flowers showcase the very same color of the crystals, and even offer the same glow. Unlike the overhead shafts of precious minerals, however, these flowers glow ceaselessly, even when the cavern seems to dim in a false night. Even when the petals are shed, they retain their glow, for a time, before falling below into the river to be swept away by the currant ushered in by the great falls cascading just below the biome's entrance.

Description
Ethereal Reach has many cavern entrances, some lead to something while others do not but if you are able to find this entrance you're in for a sweet surprise. Tucked deep inside the underground tunnels is a whole new world full of life. It is almost unreal, seems as if you have traveled elsewhere but alas you're still inside the seemingly lifeless Ethereal Reach.

Except now you have found life but to get to it you must swim across the crystal clear pit to get to the other side. What awaits for you is mostly lucious green grass, trees, shrubbery, berries, flowers, and all sorts of other genuine life. This is a reprieve from the eternal dusk as it houses its own life light whose origin is unknown.

What will you discover inside?
